Irish “Ryan” Neville Named to 2017 American Bar Association Top 40 Young Lawyers

CHARLESTON, SC, August 28, 2017 – Stevens & Lee’s Ryan Neville has been selected to receive the American Bar Association’s “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” award.

This award nationally recognizes young ABA members who “exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and legal and community service.”

Mr. Neville concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation. He represents individuals, businesses and in-house counsel in a wide variety of matters relating to commercial law, employment issues, insurance coverage, contract disputes, real estate, business disputes, property law, tort issues, construction, estate litigation, equity and alternative dispute resolution. He is a certified mediator in both state and federal courts, and routinely helps other lawyers resolve their clients’ disputes.

Mr. Neville served as an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law, where he was named “Adjunct Professor of the Year” in 2014-2015. He also has been recognized as the “South Carolina Young Lawyer of the Year” by the South Carolina Bar in 2012-2013, was named as among the Forty under 40 by the Charleston Regional Business Journal in 2015, and has been repeatedly recognized as a South Carolina Super Lawyer Rising Star.

Actively involved in his community and his profession, Mr. Neville is a member of the Board of Governors and House of Delegates of the South Carolina Bar Association and is Immediate Past President of its Young Lawyers Division, serves as President-Elect of the American Inn of Court (Charleston Chapter), and is the delegate for the state of South Carolina to the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Preservation Society of Charleston.

Mr. Neville received a J.D. from the Charleston School of Law and a B.B.A. from the University of Georgia.
