Executives of numerous companies have decided to site their facilities in the Allentown- Bethlehem-Easton corridor, collectively known as theLehigh Valley, for a variety of reasons including its strategic location between Philadelphia and New York City, business and financing assistance, affordability and quality of life.

In addition, some 65 technology companies have either moved into the area or been founded there within the recent past, representing new jobs and about 12% of the area's total employment.
