LANCASTER, PA, May 13, 2003 – James
W. Saxton was a presenter at Crittenden’s Medical Insurance
Conference held May 7 through May 9 in Las Vegas, NV, where he
presented “Severity of Verdicts – Where Is It Going and How Do We
Stop It.”
Mr. Saxton, Co-Chair of Stevens & Lee’s Health Care Department
and Chair of the Firm’s Health Care Litigation Group, represents
providers including hospitals, physicians and managed care
organizations. He is a frequent presenter on managed care and risk
management issues and has published numerous articles, handbooks and
textbooks, most recently, Managed Care Success: Reducing Risk
While Increasing Patient Satisfaction, published by Aspen
Publishing Company.
Mr. Saxton serves as Chairman of the American Health Lawyers
Association Healthcare Liability and Litigation Special Interest
Committee. He also sits on several editorial boards for publications
for physicians and hospitals and belongs to numerous local, state
and national organizations. He serves as Vice Chairman of the
Lancaster Family Foundation Board, is a member of the Executive
Committee of the Board of the Lancaster County Health Plan and is a
member of the Board of Directors for the Lancaster County Medical
Society Scholarship Committee. Mr. Saxton is resident in the Firm’s
Lancaster office.
