PRINCETON, NJ, February 25, 2009 – Ann Reichelderfer,
Esq., a Shareholder in Stevens & Lee’s Estates and Trusts
Department, was named Chair of the Princeton Area Community
Foundation. Ms. Reichelderfer will serve a two-year term. She
previously served as Vice-Chair and has been on the board of the
Foundation for the past five years. The Community Foundation manages
nearly $50 million of charitable funds, including endowment funds on
behalf of 20 charities based in the region. In 2008 it awarded more
than $2.5 million in grants to cultural, educational, social
service, health care and environmental agencies in central New
Jersey and throughout the nation.
Ms. Reichelderfer heads the Firm’s New Jersey Estates and Trust
Group and has been in private practice for more than 30 years. She
represents several institutions of higher education in gift
planning, trust and estate administration, taxation and regulation
compliance. She regularly counsels individual clients on tax and
estate planning, estate and trust administration and charitable
giving and represents both individuals and institutions in fiduciary
litigation.
Ms. Reichelderfer is a founder of the Gift Planning Council of New
Jersey, a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving and the
National Association of College and University Attorneys. She is
also a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel
(ACTEC). Ms. Reichelderfer lectures frequently and is an invited
speaker throughout the state and the Northeast region discussing
estates, trusts and gift planning issues. Recent lectures include:
"The Gift You Can't Use: Tales from the Trenches" and "Hot Topics:
Gift Planning and Administration," made at the Gift Planning Council
of Greater Philadelphia and the Gift Planning Council of New Jersey,
respectively, September 2008.
She holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A.,
with honors, from Swarthmore College.
