Daniel B. Huyett Elected Chairman of Caron Foundation Board

READING, PA, December 11, 2003 – Daniel B. Huyett has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caron Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Huyett, Co-Chair of Stevens & Lee's Litigation Department, concentrates his practice in complex commercial and class action litigation, corporate investigations, criminal defense, and defamation. He has tried a number of complex cases, including three RICO cases, which he tried to verdict. He also represented a Fortune 50 company in trial in a $25 million contract case, represented a bank holding company in an ERISA class action tried to verdict, represented health benefits insurers in a seven-week long trial, and represented the chief operating officer in a federal grand jury investigation of the PECO Peach Bottom nuclear plant.

Mr. Huyett is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates and is Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Multijurisdictional Practice of Law Task Force. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Berks County Bar Foundation and is Vice-President and President-Elect of the Berks County Bar Association, where he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Huyett also serves on the Board of Directors of South Mountain YMCA and is a member of its Strategic Planning Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Berks County and is a member of its Governance Committee. Mr. Huyett received a J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law and a B.A. from Denison University.
