HARRISBURG, PA, November 26, 2003 – K. Robert Bertram was recognized by the Central Penn Business Journal as among central Pennsylvania's "Forty Under 40" at a reception held in Harrisburg on November 24.
Mr. Bertram was chosen as one of the forty most innovative and accomplished business leaders of central Pennsylvania by an independent judges' panel. The award recognizes his commitment to professional success and community involvement.
Mr. Bertram, an associate, concentrates his practice in the areas of securities, finance, Internet and e-commerce law and on general business matters. He has extensive experience with broker-dealer and investment adviser compliance issues, raising capital for companies, high-technology and computer-related corporate issues and the formation of partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. Mr. Bertram is a former staff counsel for the Pennsylvania Securities Commission, Division of Corporation Finance, and has served as a member of the Pennsylvania State University Task Force on Intellectual Property Policies and Procedures. He is also active in several community organizations. He serves on the Board of Managers for the Harrisburg Area East Shore YMCA, where he is chairman of Childcare Committee and chairman of Capital City Adventure Challenge Organizing Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Venture Investment Forum. Mr. Bertram received a J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law and a B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University.
