John represents principally hospitals, physicians, medical laboratories, ambulatory surgery centers and other health care providers in matters such as corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and integrated delivery systems. He also represents providers in issues related to managed care, fraud and abuse and self-referral.

He is the former general counsel of U.S. Physicians Inc., a physician practice management company that operated in the Mid-Atlantic region, and a former assistant general counsel of NovaCare Inc., a national provider of physical rehabilitation and occupational health services.

• Represented Parkway Clinical Laboratories, Inc., in 2008 sale of company to Rosetta Genomics, Inc., a publicly traded micro-RNA laboratory
• Represented Lancaster Gastroenterology Procedure Center in 2007 sale of assets to AmSurg, a national owner/operator of ambulatory surgery centers
• Represented New Seasons Assisted Living Communities, Inc., a subsidiary of Independence Blue Cross, in series of sales of assets of assisted living facilities during 2006-2008
• Represented Pro Physical Therapy and affiliated entities in 2006 sale of entities to ATI Holdings, LLC, a private equity firm
• Represented Lakewood Pathology Associates, Inc. in 2006 sale of majority interest in company to Water Street Healthcare Partners, a private firm
