Sid is past Chairman of Stevens & Lee. He has extensive experience in real estate development on behalf of private clients and municipalities. He was primarily responsible for the legal work of one of Pennsylvania's first planned unit developments in the 1970s and has been involved in numerous similar projects during his career.
Sid also focuses on estate and trust matters and counsels small businesses and professional practices. His expertise extends to corporate and banking law as well. He is a past president of the Berks County Bar Association and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
(ACTEC).
Sid is a 20-plus year member of the Board of Trustees of Dickinson College and
served as its Chairman for eight years. He also served for more than 25
years as a member of the Board of Trustees – and then the Board of
Governors – of The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State
University. He is actively involved in the Reading and Berks County
communities, serving or having served on numerous charitable and
community development organizations, including the Berks County United
Way, the Richard J. Caron Foundation and the Olivet Boys and Girls Club.
He is
a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center and the Berks County Community
Foundation. Sid is a former Chairman of The Highlands at Wyomissing, a Berks County life care
facility. He and his wife were the recipients of the 1993 Caron Award of
Excellence and the 1995 Thun Community Service Award for their outstanding service to the community.
Through
his involvement with the Greater Berks Development Fund and the Berks
County Community Foundation, Sid was instrumental in the creation and
development of the Sovereign Center and the Sovereign Performing Arts
Center. Education:
