Larry represents businesses and their
officers and other professionals in white collar litigation and compliance matters, and health care providers and related entities in health care fraud.

Larry is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and served as head of the Affirmative Civil Enforcement Initiative of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He also served as Civil Health Care Fraud Coordinator. In this capacity, he was responsible for coordination of all civil health care fraud cases in the Middle District of Pennsylvania and for oversight of all joint civil/criminal health care fraud investigations.

During his tenure as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Larry designed and ran the first national health care fraud project in the U.S. for the Department of Justice and was instrumental in launching the second national project. In large part due to these efforts, he was the recipient of the 1997 Directors Award presented by Attorney General Janet Reno for superior performance in Affirmative Civil Enforcement and the recipient of the 2000 Directors Award for superior performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney arising from the false claims act prosecution of a major defense contractor. Mr. Selkowitz also was honored in 2006 by the President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency and the Executive Council on Integrity and Efficiency with the Investigation Award for Excellence for his work with the U.S. Department of Justice's York False Claims Group, which uncovered allegations of a series of fraudulent acts by county government officials.

Larry served for several years on the Health Care Fraud Subcommittee of the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee. He has lectured to provider and trade groups across the country and has served as an instructor and course planner in health care law for the National Advocacy Center of the Justice Department in Columbia, S.C.
