Assignments
Traditionally, summer associates are exposed to a variety of practice groups to gain a better understanding of the type of work that best suits them. However, summer associates with well-defined goals have been permitted to concentrate in a chosen area of practice.
During and after projects, lawyers who work with summer associates offer candid feedback and significant assistance. In addition, each participant is assigned a mentor to guide him or her through particular areas of law and daily work life. At the end of the summer, participants are formally evaluated by each attorney they’ve worked with. The results are shared in an interview prior to conclusion of the program.
