Employment – EPLI Defense

We represent a broad range of clients who are covered by EPL insurance and also represent clients that are self-insured. We currently serve on a number of EPLI defense panels for large national insurance companies. We litigate employment matters in administrative proceedings, including those before the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and  similar state agencies, as well as before other federal and state agencies, and in state and federal courts.

We have obtained summary judgment in numerous employment discrimination matters for our clients. Relatively few of the employment discrimination cases that we have handled in recent years have proceeded to jury trial. Instead, we have prevailed in almost all of these cases through motions for summary judgment, by negotiating settlements in the early stages of litigation or through non-binding mediation on terms favorable to our clients. When cases have proceeded to trial we have consistently prevailed.
