Leonard P. Goldberger Presents on Business Opportunities in U.S. and China at Greater Philadelphia China Center for Culture and Commerce
PHILADELPHIA, PA, and NEW YORK, NY, December 21, 2010 – Leonard P. Goldberger, a Stevens & Lee Shareholder, presented on business opportunities in the U.S. and China at the Greater Philadelphia China Center for Culture and Commerce on November 18, 2010, in Philadelphia.
Addressing CEOs, business managers and other corporate executives, Mr. Goldberger discussed how U.S. companies can establish relationships with Chinese companies seeking to conduct business in the U.S. He also reviewed ways in which U.S. companies can partner with Chinese businesses and establish operations in China.
Leonard P. Goldberger has nearly 35 years of experience practicing business bankruptcy law. He works with foreign and domestic investors in the acquisition and financing of financially distressed businesses and recently lectured in China about acquiring financially distressed businesses and assets in the United States.
A former Vice President, Director and Executive Committee member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Mr. Goldberger also has been Chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Insurance Coverage Subcommittee on Insolvency and is a member of the ABA’s Litigation Section and its Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Mr. Goldberger is a member of INSOL International and an INSOL International Global Insolvency Fellow.
Mr. Goldberger lectures and writes extensively on bankruptcy law topics and serves on the editorial boards of the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and INSOL World.
As published in Philadelphia magazine, Mr. Goldberger has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2005 through 2010 by being selected by his peers as among the top 5 percent of lawyers in the Commonwealth.
He received a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Temple University.
