Leonard P. Goldberger Presents on Chinese Investments in the United States at Tsinghua University in Beijing
PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 14, 2012 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Leonard P. Goldberger lectured on Chinese investments in the United States at the Rule of Law in China Program at Tsinghua University School of Law in Beijing, China, on November 29, 2012. The Rule of Law in China Program is a joint program presented by Temple University School of Law and Tsinghua School of Law.
Mr. Goldberger has over 36 years of experience practicing business bankruptcy law and is a member of Stevens & Lee’s China Practice Group. He represents foreign and domestic investor clients in the acquisition and financing of financially distressed businesses, as well as insurers in asbestos, mass tort and environmental bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Goldberger is a member of INSOL International, an INSOL International Global Insolvency Fellow and a contributing editor of INSOL World. He is also a member of the Chinese Business Lawyers Association.
A former Vice President, Director and Executive Committee member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Mr. Goldberger also has been Chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Insurance Coverage Subcommittee on Insolvency and is a member of the ABA’s Litigation Section and its Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
Mr. Goldberger is a frequent author and has lectured extensively, both domestically and internationally, on various foreign investment and insolvency-related topics and has provided commentary for various Chinese media on U.S.-related business matters.
As published in Philadelphia magazine, Mr. Goldberger has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer from 2005 to 2012 by being selected by his peers as among the top 5 percent of lawyers in the Commonwealth.
He received a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Temple University.
