Leonard P. Goldberger Serves as Panelist at The 2013 UPenn China Forum at The Wharton School
VALLEY FORGE, PA, October 28, 2013 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Leonard P. Goldberger served as a panelist at The 2013 UPenn China Forum: The Next Ten Years, held October 19, 2013, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
The forum explored the changing landscape of China through five panels comprised of scholars and leading practitioners in healthcare, technology and entrepreneurship, culture and education, finance, economics, and law and regulation.
Mr. Goldberger discussed how laws and regulatory policies influence U.S.-China economic relationships.
Mr. Goldberger has over 37 years of experience practicing business bankruptcy law and is a member of Stevens & Lee’s China Practice Group. He represents foreign and domestic investor clients in the acquisition and financing of financially distressed businesses, as well as insurers in asbestos, mass tort and environmental bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Goldberger is a member of INSOL International, serves on the INSOL World Editorial Board and is an INSOL International Global Insolvency Fellow.
A former Vice President, Director and Executive Committee member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Mr. Goldberger has also been Chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Insurance Coverage Subcommittee on Insolvency and is a member of the ABA’s Litigation Section and its Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
Mr. Goldberger lectures and writes extensively on bankruptcy law and China-related topics and has served on the editorial board of the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal. He received a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Temple University.
