Representation of Insureds

Because of our substantial banking and financial services litigation practice and the cottage industry that has developed in recent years in which, after a merger is announced, a dissident shareholder sues the members of the board of directors, our lawyers have developed a specialty practice in Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Litigation and frequently advise clients about their D&O insurance coverage.
Representation of Insurance Carriers
Our experienced insurance litigators, led by E. Thomas Henefer, have represented insurance companies in a wide range of insurance litigation matters, including bad faith claims, first-party life, health, and disability disputes, and fraud-rescission matters in state and federal courts. We also have extensive experience representing insurance companies in commercial disputes including market conduct and product “suitability” disputes, and have assisted our clients in internal investigations of fraudulent conduct by agents and/or customers.
