Edward C. Renenger Presents “Goldilocks and the Partial ESOPs” at the 2025 NCEO Annual Conference
Ed Renenger, President and CEO of SES ESOP Strategies, presented the program “Goldilocks and the Partial ESOPs” hosted by the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT, on April 15 at 3:30 p.m. MST.
Ed joined fellow panelists Joe Skorczewski, Managing Director of Chartwell Financial Advisory, Alex Neutgens, Director of Accounting and Finance at Bolton & Menk, Inc., and J.D. Lindeberg, President of Resource Recycling Systems Inc., to discuss the wide variety of strategic considerations for companies that maintain a partial ESOP and want to find that “Goldilocks” sweet spot for achieving their goals and objectives. Panelists explored S Corporation distributions (on allocated and unallocated shares), tax savings, benefit level, repurchase obligation, discounts for lack of control and ways to increase (or decrease) ESOP ownership.
