Law Students

We are no longer accepting resumes for 1L or 2L positions for Summer 2024.

Just graduating law school and passing the bar exam does not adequately prepare you for a career as a lawyer. Our goal is to link the education you received with the right training, mentoring and experience working with clients to enable you to pursue a dynamic, fulfilling career in law.

Stevens & Lee will work with you to develop the legal, business and client service skills you need to be a successful lawyer. Whether you join us during or after law school, following a judicial clerkship, or at the onset of your career, our objective is that you will become a shareholder. Our firm actively trains new attorneys, shares our legal and business knowledge, and prepares you for the nuances of practicing law at the highest level, managing clients and developing business independently.

We will work to foster your legal knowledge, increase your business acumen, and promote an understanding of how our broader platform of professional services can expand your sphere of influence. We will provide you with challenging, rewarding work in a collaborative professional work environment and invest in you to make a valuable contribution and take on responsibilities.

Our summer program provides a challenging and realistic professional experience designed to acclimate students to the discipline of private practice and our unique culture. Law students who are sharp, hard-working and eager to learn join our summer program through various local and regional programs, including the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group and the Dauphin County Camp 1L Internship Program, among others, to ensure the diversity of our candidates. We provide students with meaningful educational opportunities and believe in individualized attention, training, mentorship and, ultimately, an offer of employment.

Students receive unique and multi-dimensional exposure to training and an understanding of the perspectives of lawyers and clients alike. At Stevens & Lee, we want our summer associates to return to the firm as professionals who form long-lasting relationships with us and our clients.

Students interested in applying for a summer 2024 position should submit a cover letter, resume, transcripts and writing sample to Charlie Suhr, Julie Ravis, or Windley Hofler Walden. If you have any futher questions, please contact us.
