Stevens & Lee has a long history of representing state and local government clients, including counties, cities, boroughs, townships, municipal authorities, redevelopment authorities, industrial development authorities, housing authorities, transportation authorities, school districts, local and state agencies and various other public agencies in a wide range of matters. We are thoroughly familiar with the local, state and federal statutes, regulations and case law applicable to public entities.
Our state and local government practice is multidisciplinary in nature, involving lawyers who regularly counsel clients not only in general municipal law, but also specific areas, such as municipal finance, labor and employment and employee benefits, among others. Many of our lawyers serve or have served as solicitors to various municipalities, authorities and school districts and have also served as special counsel on specific projects or matters.
