Charles C. Scheim Presents at the Philadelphia Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association’s Healthcare Educational Session

READING, PA, November 24, 2014 – Charles C. Scheim, a Shareholder with Stevens & Lee’s ERISA, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group, presented before the Philadelphia Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association as part of a panel discussion entitled  “Health Care Reform: The Five Things You Need to Address” held November 20, 2014, in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

The presentation encouraged the audience of financial managers and leaders of construction companies located in the Greater Philadelphia region to build a strategy to address the Affordable Care Act around five key items: communication, compliance, technology, data, and enrollment.

Mr. Scheim concentrates his practice in employee benefits with a particular emphasis on counseling clients on welfare benefit plans, including legal issues with respect to the health care reform act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, wellness programs, and all aspects of ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. He also designs executive compensation plans, advises clients on securities law implications of employee benefits matters and manages the employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Scheim often speaks to employer groups about the impact of health care reform on their health plans and businesses.

Mr. Scheim received a J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, an MBA from Adelphi University and a B.A. from State University of New York at Oswego.
