Edward C. Renenger Presents at the NCEO Employee Ownership Conference

READING, PA, April 27, 2015 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Edward C. Renenger presented at the National Center for Employee Ownership Annual Employee Ownership Conference held April 21-23, 2015, in Denver, CO.

Mr. Renenger co-presented “Navigating Internal Trustee Waters – Best Practices from the Perspective of an External Trustee and Counsel.” The session, presented to an audience of internal trustees, provided insight from the viewpoint of an advisor and identified potential pitfalls and risks that internal trustees face when making and documenting important decisions regarding their organizations’ ESOPs.

Mr. Renenger is an employee benefits attorney who concentrates his practice on ERISA and qualified retirement plans. He provides particular expertise on the feasibility, design, implementation and administration of ESOPs for both Subchapter S Corporations, as well as Subchapter C Corporations. Mr. Renenger’s ESOP practice focuses on the entire range of ESOP-owned companies, from companies that are wholly owned by the ESOP Trust, to publicly traded companies in which the ESOP Trust has a minority interest.

Mr. Renenger also advises clients on the structure and administration of defined benefit pension plans and defined contribution plans, including 401(k) plans. In addition, he guides clients through the retirement plan correction programs and, in this capacity, regularly acts as legal counsel before the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor.

He holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A., summa cum laude, from The Catholic University of America.
