James B. Longacre Presents Webinar on Executive Compensation for Nonprofits
READING, PA, October 11, 2019 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder James B. Longacre presented a webinar hosted by LeadingAge PA on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Mr. Longacre’s presentation, “Executive Compensation – Planning, Strategy and Alternatives for the CEO,” discussed how nonprofit boards and CEOs can develop a higher level of sophistication surrounding executive pay including understanding the basics of compliance as well as differing approaches that provide value to the entity and the executive.
Mr. Longacre concentrates his practice in employee benefits/ERISA and executive compensation matters, helping his clients to develop innovative approaches to reward and incentivize their valued employees through business transitions, transactions and succession. He has assisted life plan communities with executive employment agreements, incentive compensation arrangements, retirement plans and specialized deferred compensation strategies to align retirement and retention objectives.
He advises clients on the structure and administration of pension, 401(k) and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. He has extensive experience in the representation of multiemployer benefit funds and professional employer organizations (PEOs). Mr. Longacre regularly handles matters before the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Goshen College.
