Julie E. Ravis Presents at Association of Corporate Counsel Central PA In-House Counsel Program

READING, PA, August 15, 2019 – Julie E. Ravis, Litigation Department Shareholder with Stevens & Lee, spoke at the Association of Corporate Counsel Central Pennsylvania In-House Counsel Program on August 8, 2019, in Marietta, PA.

Ms. Ravis presented, “Beyond Boilerplate: The Importance of “Standard” Contract Provisions,” and discussed how contract provisions should be carefully considered and tailored to the situation to avoid appearing as boilerplate. She also covered commonly used contractual terms that can create legal issues, and best practices and takeaways for tailoring contracts.

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) is a global association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel through information, education, networking opportunities and advocacy initiatives. Members of the ACC Central PA chapter are in-house lawyers who work for companies throughout the Central Pennsylvania region, including the cities of Harrisburg, Lancaster and York.

Ms. Ravis focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation with a particular focus on litigation involving financial products and services. Her experience includes state and federal court litigation, FINRA arbitrations and regulatory investigations involving the SEC, FINRA and state agencies. She also represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes at the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Ravis holds a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
