Manuela Morais and Team of Immigration Legal Professionals Join Stevens & Lee, Firm Continues Expansion in New Jersey

PRINCETON, NJ, December 3, 2020 – Stevens & Lee announced today that Manuela Morais and a team of experienced immigration and naturalization professionals have joined the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. They will be resident in the firm’s Princeton, NJ, office.

Ms. Morais is the founder and principal of the former Morais Law LLC, a boutique immigration practice. She will Co-Chair the firm’s Immigration Practice along with Stevens & Lee’s Jeffrey M. Zimskind.

Manuela Morais partners with corporate clients to assist them in attracting and retaining top-tier international talent and to ensure immigration compliance. She represents clients of all sizes, spanning from startup companies to Fortune 500 corporations. Over her 20-plus-year career in immigration law, she has acted as de facto in-house immigration counsel and represented individuals and self-petitioners in unique and complex cases before the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In addition to founding Morais Law, earlier in her career she was responsible for management of the immigration practice at an AMLaw 100 firm. Before entering law school, she also served as a Congressional Aide to the Hon. Robert E. Andrews of New Jersey, where she provided services to constituents in the areas of immigration, consular affairs and commerce. She holds a J.D. from Widener University School of Law and a B.A. from Rutgers University – Camden.
