Mark H. Anania Is Recognized as a 2023 Leading Trademark Professional in WTR 1000
PRINCETON, NJ and NEW YORK, February 14, 2023 – Stevens & Lee announced that Mark H. Anania, Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Group, has been named again as a leading trademark professional in New Jersey in the 2023 edition of the WTR 1000.
The WTR 1000 aims to identify the leading trademark professionals and firms in prosecuting, licensing and litigating trademarks in a variety of jurisdictions. Mr. Anania is distinguished in New Jersey as “an experienced litigator with a long track record of success in patent and trademark actions” who is routinely “enlisted for cases of consequence.”
Mr. Anania serves as Co-Chair of Stevens & Lee’s Intellectual Property Group and has a national IP practice helping clients to value and defend their IP and other technology assets. He has litigated cases across various industries, from Fortune 500 leaders to closely held businesses before federal district courts nationwide, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Anania also provides strategic advice on intellectual property portfolio management, counseling and licensing. He offers a range of guidance, from effectively obtaining rights through the USPTO and Copyright Office to implementing proactive measures that prevent and avoid infringement, as well as maximize the overall value of intellectual property.
Within the legal community, Mr. Anania frequently writes and speaks on IP issues. He is a recent past President of the New Jersey IP Law Association and served on the Association’s Board of Managers for more than five years prior to his leadership role. He also holds significant positions in the golf industry, including as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Golf Association.
Mr. Anania received a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. from Colgate University.
