Firm Continues Expansion in Princeton

PRINCETON, NJ, September 2, 2015 – Stevens & Lee announced today that Patrick D. Kennedy, Maeve E. Cannon and Ryan P. Kennedy have joined the firm and will reside in its Princeton office.

Last year, a team of five employment lawyers concentrating in employee raiding and recruitment strategies led by Thomas B. Lewis joined Stevens & Lee Princeton.

For over 32 years, Patrick D. Kennedy has represented private clients seeking to do business with the State of New Jersey. A former assistant to the Director of the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property, and an Assistant Director of the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law, Mr. Kennedy focuses his practice in administrative law and corporate litigation, including public contracts with an emphasis on administrative and regulatory compliance. He frequently appears before the State Appellate Division on emergent matters and has been successful in achieving stays of publicly advertised bids pending further judicial review. Mr. Kennedy also has extensive experience advising clients on the amicable resolution of ongoing procurement or contract compliance issues. He received a J.D. with honors from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.S. in Economics with honors from Rider College.

Maeve E. Cannon concentrates her practice in administrative law, regulatory compliance and public procurement and government contracts litigation. She appears before state agencies and state and administrative courts, and has an active appellate practice. She has substantial experience in all aspects of public procurement disputes at the state and local levels and advises clients at each stage of the public bidding and contract process. Additionally, Ms. Cannon serves as General Counsel to Ewing Township, NJ. She received a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.S. in Economics from Colorado College.

Ryan P. Kennedy represents private and government clients in the complete range of real estate acquisition, lending and development, with particular emphasis on redevelopment, eminent domain, lender work-outs and transit-oriented development. He has represented government entities in all aspects of several of the most prominent condemnation matters in the state, and served as redevelopment counsel for one of the first transit villages in New Jersey. He also regularly advises clients on New Jersey election and campaign finance law and has represented property owners in real estate tax appeals throughout New Jersey. Mr. Kennedy received a J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. from Boston College.
