Rob Ghormoz Named Senior Advisor to the Gov. Shapiro Transition Team

HARRISBURG, PA, November 29, 2022 – GSL Public Strategies Group today announced that Rob Ghormoz, Vice President, Public Affairs, has been named a Senior Advisor to the Transition Team of Pennsylvania Governor-Elect Josh Shapiro.
In his role, Mr. Ghormoz will assist the Transition’s Executive Director in organizing and continuing to build the structure of the transition, and assist the Governor-Elect and Transition Team in evaluating candidates for cabinet and senior staff positions.
In addition, Mr. Ghormoz will work with the Transition Team as they assess the current state of the Commonwealth and prepare to take office, and assist the Governor-Elect and incoming Chief of Staff as they build a legislative engagement strategy and prepare to introduce their first budget proposal.
A veteran of state government, Mr. Ghormoz was the Co-Executive Director of Gov. Wolf’s inauguration in 2019, and formerly served as a Senior Advisor to Gov. Wolf. In this position, he served as primary political advisor and oversaw all aspects of economic development for the Wolf administration and coordinated economic development-related grant programs in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. He also coordinated all aspects of the administration’s federal government relations efforts to advance the Governor’s agenda in Washington, D.C.
