Stuart M. Brown Named Among 2026 Leaders in Law Honorees by NJBIZ

CHATHAM, NJ, Feb. 9, 2026 – Stuart M. Brown of Stevens & Lee’s Corporate, Finance and Capital Markets Department has been selected as an honoree in the Business: Corporate, Nonprofit, Franchise, M&A, Litigation category for the 2026 Leaders in Law Awards presented by NJBIZ.

The Awards recognize legal professionals who have shown outstanding dedication to their profession and communities. Mr. Brown is distinguished for engineering and structuring highly complex M&A transactions that have helped his clients close market-shaping business moves. He has also connected regional business leaders by forming and facilitating NJ-centric mastermind forums, and has guided nonprofit financing opportunities.

Mr. Brown provides comprehensive business counseling with a particular emphasis on serving the needs of privately owned businesses. He has extensive experience managing all aspects of financing, debt, acquisition, disposition, merger and joint venture transactions. Mr. Brown also assists entrepreneurs and businesses in all phases of growth, including formation, organization, capitalization, financing, partnership or shareholder issues and ongoing business and commercial matters. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to a number of businesses.

As the former Vice President and General Counsel of a publicly traded specialty contractor and in private practice, Mr. Brown has developed significant relationships with professional service providers worldwide that have been valuable to his domestic clients operating internationally. At home, he utilizes his extensive network of professionals to make rewarding introductions, continuously fostering his relationships to benefit his clients.
