IRS and DOL Continue to Provide Additional Guidance on Sick Leave and Family Leave Compliance Under the FFRCA

Over the past week, the IRS and DOL have continued to provide additional answers to questions that are arising under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). The DOL guidance focuses on which employees are eligible for leave and how employers comply with the leave requirements. The IRS guidance focuses on the tax credits that are available to employers under the FFRCA. As you have issues or when questions arise, check these FAQs carefully as many specific questions have been addressed (and check again later as responses keep being added). If you have a specific question, please contact the Stevens & Lee attorney with whom you normally work. We may also be able to assist you in submitting your questions to the appropriate regulator.
