Dauphin County Bar Association Honors Stevens & Lee for Diversity Initiative

READING, PA, February 26, 2015 – The Dauphin County Bar Association honored Stevens & Lee with The Honorable Clarence C. Morrison Equal Professional Opportunity Award at the association’s annual meeting held January 21, 2015, at The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The award acknowledged Stevens & Lee for its effort in advancing diversity in the law and legal community. The firm has been a strong supporter of and participant in the bar association’s Capital Area Managing Partners Diversity Initiative Summer Intern (CAMP 1L) Program for nearly a decade.

The program aims to significantly increase the number of minority lawyers who practice in the state capital region. It provides first-year law students with the opportunity to intern with a Central Pennsylvania law firm and gain exposure to substantive legal work, participate in networking opportunities and CAMP 1L events and receive instructive performance evaluation and individual mentor assignments.
