Parsells Presents at DELVACCA Environmental, Health and Safety Institute
PHILADELPHIA, PA, November 22, 2011 – Stevens & Lee’s David J. Parsells presented at the 2011 Fall Environmental, Health and Safety Institute of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (DELVACCA) on September 27, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Parsells discussed issues in-house counsel could face in the short-term future that may impact their businesses. These issues include the following: recent developments on successor liability for CERCLA claims; challenges created by the requirements of the new Injury and Illness Prevention Program of OSHA; the FTC’s new “green” marketing standards; and the potential impact of the smart grid on corporate policy.
Mr. Parsells has concentrated his practice on environmental, toxic tort, product liability and other complex litigation and regulatory challenges to clients for more than 25 years. He has represented businesses and individuals in state and federal courts and in administrative litigation. Mr. Parsells is a member of the Product Liability Committee of the Defense Research Institute and is national Co-Liaison between DRI’s Electronic Discovery Committee and Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee. He is a former Master in the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court.
