Ephrat S. Orgel and Darshan Patel Join Stevens & Lee
Firm Expands Estates and Trusts Department with Bergen County and Princeton Additions
BERGEN COUNTY and PRINCETON, NJ – May 13, 2026 – Stevens & Lee announced today that Ephrat S. Orgel and Darshan Patel have joined the firm’s Wealth Planning, Trusts and Estate Department. Ms. Orgel, a Shareholder, resides in the Bergen County office, and Mr. Patel, Counsel, resides in the Princeton office.

Ms. Orgel advises high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning strategies, including matters involving federal estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes. She brings extensive experience in drafting wills and revocable trusts, trust and estate administration and federal estate tax exemption planning, among other wealth preservation strategies. She also works with family offices, accountants, financial advisors and other professionals to develop comprehensive planning solutions. Ms. Orgel earned a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law, an LL.M. from New York University School of Law and a B.S. from Yeshiva University.
Mr. Patel advises individuals, families and fiduciaries on complex wealth planning, estate, gift and income tax strategies. With a depth of knowledge in tax law, he helps clients design, implement and administer estate plans that combine their wealth transfer, business succession and charitable giving goals with tax-efficient approaches.
His experience includes assisting with the preparation of wills and trusts, probate, trust and estate administration, the formation and governance of nonprofit organizations and private foundations, guidance for fiduciaries, and preparing gift, estate, and inheritance tax returns.
Mr. Patel earned a J.D. from Western Michigan University School of Law, an LL.M. from Villanova University School of Law, and a B.A from the University of Western Ontario.
