Kirsten M. Raleigh Presents at the American Health Lawyers Association National Fraud and Compliance Forum

VALLEY FORGE, PA, October 26, 2016 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Kirsten M. Raleigh presented at the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) 2016 National Fraud and Compliance Forum held October 5-7, 2016, in Baltimore, MD.

In her session, “Issues in Behavioral Health Compliance,” Ms. Raleigh addressed an audience of legal counsel, compliance officers and government representatives regarding behavioral health privacy, fraud and abuse.  Specifically, she discussed Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE reimbursement, recent developments in fraud and abuse, privacy in behavioral health, as well as the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusion List which works to exclude health care providers from all Federal health care plans.

Ms. Raleigh focuses her practice on providing regulatory, reimbursement, compliance and operational advice to clients in the health care industry. She helps clients understand and apply the wide variety of regulatory requirements with which health care businesses must comply. She has expertise advising clients on Medicare and Medicaid enrollment; operational and ownership changes; Medicare and Medicaid coverage and reimbursement issues; service reconfiguration and provider based restructuring considerations; licensure, certification and accreditation of providers; and EMTALA compliance.

She serves as Vice Chair for the Payment and Reimbursement Interest Group of the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.

Ms. Raleigh received a J.D., cum laude, from Widener University of Law and a B.A. from Bucknell University.
