Lisa M. Scidurlo Named Co-Chair of Stevens & Lee’s Labor and Employment Department

VALLEY FORGE, PA, July 18, 2019 – Stevens & Lee announced today that Lisa M. Scidurlo has been named Co-Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. She joins fellow department chairs Paul R. Lewis and Michael G. Tierce in leading the 26-professional group.

A Shareholder of the firm, Ms. Scidurlo represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters. She represents employers at all stages of employment discrimination claims, including matters pending before the EEOC, and state and local Human Relations Commissions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and numerous other states. She regularly handles cases involving claims under Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the other federal, state and local employment discrimination laws. She has won significant victories after trial as well as dispositive motions in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and at the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to her management employment discrimination practice, Ms. Scidurlo defends employers against charges before the National Labor Relations Board and counsels union employers on the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements. She also handles cases involving wrongful discharge claims and other traditional contractual claims arising from employment, and regularly counsels employers on compliance issues regarding the maintenance and administration of important employment-related policies.

Ms. Scidurlo received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the Temple University School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the Pennsylvania State University. As published in the Philadelphia magazine, she has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2017 and 2018.
