Stacey A. Scrivani Presents at Association of Corporate Counsel Greater Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Continuing Education Seminar

WILMINGTON, DE, December 11, 2015 – Stacey A. Scrivani, Shareholder of Stevens & Lee, presented at a continuing education seminar sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel on November 19, 2015, in Wilmington, DE.

Ms. Scrivani co-presented “Recent Developments in Delaware Corporate Law” with Robert K. Hahm, Corporate Counsel with E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, to lawyers serving as in-house counsel to companies throughout Delaware and Greater Philadelphia. The presentation focused on forum selection by-laws, fee shifting by-laws, the swing toward rejecting disclosure-only settlements in shareholder litigation and the Delaware Rapid Arbitration Act.

Ms. Scrivani is Stevens & Lee’s lead  Delaware litigation counsel. She is an experienced commercial litigator who focuses her practice on representing private and public companies and their officers and directors in lawsuits with shareholders and class actions in the Delaware Chancery Court, Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts, and in federal court.

Ms. Scrivani’s experience includes defending officers and directors against breach of fiduciary duty and derivative claims, assisting companies with effective use of special litigation committees, and advising companies in connection with activist shareholders. She has also represented companies and shareholders in disputes involving closely held corporations, including dissolutions and appraisal actions.

Ms. Scrivani’s experience extends to representing clients in FINRA arbitrations and regulatory investigations involving FINRA, as well as other state and federal agencies. In addition, as a member of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations group, Ms. Scrivani defends individuals and companies against criminal investigations and assists companies in responding to government-issued subpoenas.

As a volunteer attorney with Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Ms. Scrivani assists victims of domestic violence obtain protection from abuse orders and with related custody matters.

As published in Philadelphia magazine, Ms. Scrivani was recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2011 through 2014. She has a J.D., cum laude, from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University and a B.A., cum laude, from Siena College.
