David has significant experience assisting with the procurement and litigation of patent rights. Drawing from his technical background in mechanical engineering, he helps a range of clients with the preparation and prosecution of patents in the mechanical and electromechanical arts. His work also extends to technologies in the areas of software-based systems, wireless telecommunications, power supplies, electronics and other related technologies. He has collaboratively worked with domestic and international professionals to successfully position patent applications as well as respond to office actions and manage prosecution strategy on a global scale.

David also leverages his technical acumen and prosecution experience to provide sophisticated litigation support in patent and other IP matters. In doing so, David has contributed to the development of infringement and validity contentions, claim construction positions, and expert analysis in a wide variety of technologies including consumer products, commercial lighting, power management and LED and other semiconductors.

Prior to practicing law, David worked as a mechanical engineer in the automotive and electronics industries, assisting with the optimization, maintenance and quality control of various manufacturing processes. He has also worked as an industrial automation specialist where he supported various manufacturing facilities in the configuration of their automation systems.
