Gregg is Co-Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Law Group. In addition to his cannabis practice, he has substantial experience representing clients in white collar criminal investigations, federal and state regulatory matters and complex commercial litigation.

Gregg is distinguished in New Jersey’s cannabis space as an experienced advisor to both adult-use and medical marijuana operators. In addition to guiding cannabis clients through the licensing process in New Jersey, he has also successfully navigated New York’s adult-use license application process for multiple clients. Additionally, Gregg has worked on numerous financial transactions for both operators and investors in the cannabis space. Clients who are already operating rely on his multifaceted legal guidance focused on managing risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Gregg has also established a notable reputation in defending against white collar investigations, prosecutions and matters involving allegations of bank, tax and health care fraud; commercial bribery; and violations of the False Claim Act. In 2017, he was a key member of the legal team that successfully defended U.S. Senator Robert Menendez in Federal District Court against allegations of public corruption and bribery brought by the federal government. More recently, in 2022, he was successful in obtaining the dismissal of a multi-count indictment that had been brought against a client by the New York Attorney General. Clients also rely on him to evaluate their policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

In the area of complex litigation, Gregg’s representations span financial institutions, multinational corporations, public entities, small businesses and individuals. He has particular experience and acumen litigating a range of matters before the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York, and before various regulators including the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics.
