Stevens & Lee’s Real Estate Group is a finalist for the “Real Estate Firm of the Year” category and the Cannabis Law Group is a finalist for the “Cannabis Law Practice of the Year” category of the 2026 New Jersey Legal Awards, which are featured on Law.com and presented by the New Jersey Law Journal. The winners of these categories will be announced at the awards event on Oct. 29 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ.
The “Real Estate Firm of the Year” recognition spotlights firms that have led significant real estate transactions in the past year. Stevens & Lee continues to impact some of the most transformative real estate projects in the Garden State. The team achieved nationally covered land use successes in eminent domain and affordable housing disputes, secured financial and redevelopment agreements that undergird some of the highest-profile property conversions in the state, and led the purchase and sale of properties that shape business and growth opportunities in local markets.
The “Cannabis Law Practice of the Year” distinction recognizes practices that had a notable impact in the state’s rapidly evolving cannabis space in 2025. The firm’s Cannabis Law Team is noted for its multidisciplinary capabilities in helping numerous clients last year successfully navigate regulatory, transactional and licensing challenges in several cannabis markets across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. In New Jersey, Stevens & Lee led multiple financing transactions for operators despite a challenging capital markets landscape for these businesses. The team was also instrumental in helping to obtain state licenses and municipal approvals for clients in the the state.
