Jonathan concentrates his practice in employment litigation and counseling. He has substantial experience litigating complex employment-related actions in state and federal courts and arbitration forums throughout the United States. Jonathan has defended companies in various industries, including financial services, hospitality and manufacturing, against claims of discrimination, wrongful discharge, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour and other similar types of employment claims arising under federal, state and local employment laws and statutes.

Jonathan has extensive experience litigating restrictive covenants in employment agreements and other post-employment obligations, including those involving trade secrets, confidential information, non-competition and non-solicitation. He frequently appears for injunctive relief hearings in federal and state courts throughout the country regarding the enforcement of restrictive covenants and other post-employment obligations, and regularly provides counseling to companies, executives and professionals regarding their employment agreements.

Jonathan also has specific experience representing financial institutions, broker-dealers and individual advisors in the securities industry in litigation and arbitration proceedings predominantly involving restrictive covenants in employment agreements. Jonathan regularly advises brokerage firms and registered individuals involved in employment transitions and recruiting, and he frequently represents brokerage firms and registered individuals in FINRA arbitration. Jonathan also assists registered individuals in regulatory proceedings before FINRA.

Jonathan was formerly an attorney in Central Appellate Research of the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts in Trenton, New Jersey. In this capacity, he drafted bench memoranda analyzing a wide range of issues under federal and state law, including labor and employment matters. Before that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Anthony J. Parrillo in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, as a legal intern for the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law, and as a legal intern for the Honorable Richard B. Klein of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
