Keith is a registered patent attorney who works with businesses, executives, entrepreneurs and in-house teams on protecting and commercializing intellectual property, managing privacy and cybersecurity risks, and structuring technology-driven commercial relationships.
Clients often turn to Keith when legal issues converge with technology, regulation and business risk — particularly where decisions must be made with evolving technical facts or cross‑border considerations. He focuses on providing practical and business‑focused, shaped by an understanding of how legal choices affect product development, investment timelines and long‑term strategy.
Keith’s practice spans patents, trademarks, copyrights, privacy and cybersecurity, as well as a broad range of commercial and licensing agreements, including those arising in transactions, strategic collaborations, day‑to‑day operations and mergers and acquisitions. His industry experience includes life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food and consumer products, technology, software, electronics, financial services and advanced manufacturing.
He is dual‑certified as a CIPP/E and CIPP/US privacy professional, reflecting advanced knowledge of both European and U.S. privacy frameworks, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), cross‑border data transfers and U.S. federal and state privacy laws. Keith advises clients operating in domestic and international markets on data protection, cybersecurity, incident response planning and privacy considerations embedded in commercial transactions and digital operations.
Keith also represents clients intellectual property disputes and enforcement matters. Keith has represented clients on both sides of patent and trademark litigation, including matters before U.S. district courts and the Federal Circuit, Hatch‑Waxman litigation for pharmaceutical companies, and post‑grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including inter partes reviews, appeals and reexaminations.
Before entering private practice, Keith worked in the research and development division of an international medical diagnostics and device company, supporting product development and cross‑functional technical teams. There he was a named inventor on multiple U.S. and international patents involving medical and technical innovations, which gives him firsthand perspective on innovation, engineering constraints and commercialization challenges.
Prior to his professional career, Keith served six years as a non‑commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, including with HHT, 1st Squadron, 26th Cavalry, and Company B, 102nd Medical Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, where he served as a combat medic.
