As a former engineer, business leader and tech company owner, he brings a business-minded approach to complex patent preparation, prosecution and infringement matters. His experience extends to handling patent assertions and plaintiff infringement litigation.

Mark has served as patent counsel for a range of businesses, from startups to Fortune 100 enterprises, in the areas of cloud technology, networking, mixed-reality optics, data storage, data center operations and infrastructure as well as electronic and photonic integrated circuits. He has particular depth in optical telecommunications, a field in which he launched and sold a startup and is an inventor or co-inventor of more than 80 worldwide patents.
