Samira T. Nichols

Samira assists a range of businesses and institutions in attracting and retaining leading talent in their industries. Her background as a former researcher and as the former Director of International Services at Vanderbilt University complements more than 20 years of experience facilitating employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas on behalf of employers, research institutions, health care systems, athletes, entrepreneurs, scientists, physicians, and specialized workers. She has nuanced perspectives in planning and implementing organization-wide hiring programs.

Samira has particular skill in assisting with Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher, and National Interest Waiver Permanent Residency petitions; J-1 Waivers (including IGA, Hardship, and State 30 Conrad); PERM; and H-1B, L-1, and O-1 nonimmigrant visas. She has also led processing efforts on behalf of large employers for all nonimmigrant visa needs, including E-3, H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN-1, and R-1 visas. Domestic and foreign employers often rely on her strategic guidance on I-9 compliance audits and facilitating application processes with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to ensure immigration compliance with their talent acquisitions.
