Scott represents debtors, trustees, creditors’ committees and creditors in Chapters 7, 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. He has a depth of knowledge in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, as well as prosecuting and defending complex adversary complaints and motions before the bankruptcy court and state courts.

Scott’s experience includes serving as an assignee for the benefit of creditors in facilitating the possession, liquidation and distribution of a company’s assets to the company’s creditors. He also provides strategic guidance to businesses on reorganizations and serves as a Subchapter V Trustee in the District of New Jersey and was among the first Subchapter V Panel members appointed by the Office of the U.S. Trustee for that District. Additionally, Scott is among the New Jersey Bankruptcy Court’s approved mediators.

Following law school, Scott served as a law clerk for the Hon. David J. Issenman, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey. He was also an Adjunct Law Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark where he taught legal research and writing.
