Multiemployer Plans
Stevens & Lee has served as counsel to numerous multiemployer plans subject to ERISA and has extensive experience representing these plans in litigation. We regularly advise multiemployer plan fiduciaries on compliance with their obligations in investment-related matters, from the drafting of investment guidelines and the selection and monitoring of investment managers to questions concerning securities lending and whether multiemployer plans can invest in hedge funds or private assets.
We also have substantial experience advising clients on benefit issues, such as plan design, suspension of benefits based on re-employment, the approval of proper qualified domestic relations orders and individual rulings on benefit determinations.
