PA Governor’s Order for Targeted Distribution of COVID-19 PPE and Supplies

Here are the recently released FAQs for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Order for Targeted Distribution of COVID-19 PPE and Supplies.

Inventories are due 4/16/20 at 11:59 pm using the survey tool.

The Order applies to “private, public, and quasi-public health care providers, as well as suppliers and manufacturers of these essential supplies and equipment. This covers physician practices, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, ambulatory surgical facilities, hospices, end stage renal facilities, other Department of Health licensees, and others that may have these critical assets on hand. All health care providers and facilities in the Commonwealth have been touched by this response in one way or another; therefore, we would expect all health care providers to participate in helping to get Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), supplies, and other equipment to where the need is greatest.”

The survey tool includes three main categories that must be reported:

  1. PPE (such as gowns, gloves, and face masks);
  2. Other durable medical equipment (such as ventilators and ECMO machines; and
  3. Select pharmaceuticals that may aid in the support and treatment of individuals with COVID-19 (such as paralytic drugs for intubated patients, pain medication, and airway support drugs).
