Stevens & Lee Bolsters IP, Security and Privacy Services with Addition of Keith McWha as Shareholder
Law Firm Continues Expansion in New Jersey
PHILADELPHIA, PA and BERGEN COUNTY, NJ, Nov. 4, 2025 – Stevens & Lee announced today that IP, security and privacy lawyer Keith McWha has joined the firm’s Bergen County office as a Shareholder, expanding its service offerings in these mission-critical areas for businesses of all sizes. This follows closely on the heels of the opening of the firm’s third office in New Jersey via the merger with Chatham-based Brown Moskowitz & Kallen in August and the addition of three lawyers from the Satz Law Group in Bergen County in July.

With nearly three decades of experience, Mr. McWha is a registered patent attorney, inventor and litigator who provides clients with a 360-degree view on protecting and maximizing the value of intellectual property portfolios, developing robust data privacy and security policies and navigating compliance challenges. His work spans life sciences, medical devices, chemicals, electronics, software and digital media to which he brings deep industry insight and practical solutions to every client engagement.
As a named inventor on several U.S. and international medical device patents, Mr. McWha applies his experience as a client to his practice. He has licensed, defended and enforced patents globally, has prepared trademark and copyright applications, and provided guidance on M&A transactions, crisis data management and regulatory issues, including FDA compliance.
Professionally active, Mr. McWha is a member of the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association, New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Prior to his legal career, he served for six years as a non-commissioned officer with the U.S. Army. Mr. McWha earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He holds an M.S. in plastics engineering and a B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts.
