Blake C. Marles Moderates Panel at Philadelphia Industrial 2016 Conference

ALLENTOWN, PA, October 28, 2016 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Blake C. Marles moderated a panel discussion at the Philadelphia Industrial 2016 conference sponsored by Bisnow on October 13, 2016, in Philadelphia, PA.

Focusing on Philadelphia’s booming industrial market, Mr. Marles and an esteemed group of panelists discussed the city’s current activity in regards to leasing, absorption, e-commerce and retail, and made predictions as to 2017’s trends for the market, including new developments, rent rates and leasing activity.

Mr. Marles concentrates his practice on higher education, real estate and municipal law. As Chair of the Higher Education Group, he coordinates industry-specific projects for college and university clients. In his real estate practice, he serves as lead counsel for projects as diverse as health care campuses, regional business headquarters, multi-municipality planned residential developments, condominiums, ground leases, industrial reuses and commercial and industrial land developments. He represents brokers, purchasers and sellers, developers, municipalities, syndicators and lenders in zoning, regulatory, leasing, historic rehabilitation, land development and subdivision matters.

As a municipal attorney, he has counseled more than 50 communities statewide, and has served as solicitor for municipalities in three counties.

As a lecturer and writer, Blake has written, taught and presented on behalf of teaching organizations such as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), the Council of Independent Colleges, the Pennsylvania Planning Association, the Pennsylvania Municipal League and the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors.

Mr. Marles received a J.D. from Temple University School of Law and a B.A. from Muhlenberg College.
