Charles F. Harenza Participates in National Penn Wealth Management Roundtable Discussion

READING, PA, October 26, 2011 – Stevens & Lee Shareholder Charles F. Harenza served as a panelist during the roundtable discussion of “Retirement Issues Facing Affluent Families” sponsored by National Penn Wealth Management October 12, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Harenza addressed questions pertaining to retirement income planning, including issues surrounding saving for retirement with IRAs, 401(k)s and other retirement plans.

Mr. Harenza is Chair of Stevens & Lee’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. He has more than 25 years of experience as an employee benefits attorney with emphasis on the design, implementation and on-going compliance and administration of both single- and multi-employer defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans, as well as welfare benefit plans. Mr. Harenza also works with executive non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements and equity-based plans for private and publicly traded corporations. He has extensive experience with the employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions, from the due diligence process through post-closing benefits integration.

Mr. Harenza regularly advises for-profits, not-for-profit and governmental entities on all aspects of pension compliance with both state and federal law. He often provides guidance to the firm’s labor lawyers with respect to the pension and benefit implications in the collective bargaining process.

Mr. Harenza received a J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. from Duquesne University.
