Stevens & Lee Names a New Shareholder

PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 2, 2018 – Stevens & Lee today announced that Brad M. Kushner has been named a shareholder of the firm effective January 1, 2018.

Mr. Kushner concentrates his practice in labor and employment matters. He represents employers and management in litigation involving wage and hour claims, and claims brought under Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state anti-discrimination laws. He has represented clients in class actions and collective actions in courts across the country, and has successfully defended employers against unfair labor practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board.  He also has significant experience litigating restrictive covenant matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Kushner conducts internal investigations on behalf of employers, represents public employers in matters before the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board and advises clients on labor issues, including union organizing and collective bargaining. In addition, Mr. Kushner counsels employers on OSHA matters and has successfully litigated OSHA cases around the country.

Mr. Kushner is a contributor to the nationally recognized treatise, Occupational Safety and Health Law, published by the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs. During law school, he served as judicial extern to the Honorable Theodore McKee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Kushner also is a volunteer attorney with the Support Center for Child Advocates, providing legal representation and social service advocacy for abused and neglected children in Philadelphia.

Mr. Kushner holds a J.D., with high honors, from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and a B.A., with highest honors, from Rutgers University.
