Stevens & Lee Names Three New Shareholders

VALLEY FORGE, PA, and PRINCETON and BERGEN COUNTY, NJ, January 3, 2022 – Stevens & Lee announced today that Christina Burke, Wade D. Koenecke and John N. Visconi have been named shareholders of the firm effective January 1, 2023.

Christina Burke concentrates on advising hospital systems, physician practices and other health care organizations on corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and affiliations. Her experience also includes handling contractual matters such as employment, professional services, lease, medical director and administrative service agreements, as well as advising on a wide variety of clients on federal and state fraud and abuse laws, corporate practice of medicine requirements, federal and state tax-exemption requirements and state licensure requirements.

Ms. Burke earned her J.D., summa cum laude (First in Class), from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Schreyer Honors College at the Pennsylvania State University.

Wade D. Koenecke focuses his practice in public procurement and government contracts litigation, administrative law, as well as complex civil and business litigation and appellate advocacy. He represents corporate clients, large and small, in all aspects of government contracting disputes, including litigating bid protests as challenger and defender before state courts and administrative agencies.

Mr. Koenecke also handles commercial and business disputes, contract disputes, and significant probate and real estate litigation matters, including disputes concerning land use and restrictive covenants. He has significant experience with equity actions, appellate pursuits and matters pertaining to government records, including the Open Public Records Act

Following law school, Mr. Koenecke served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph L. Yannotti, New Jersey Appellate Division. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law, and his B.S., summa cum laude, from Susquehanna University.

John N. Visconi is an accomplished complex commercial litigator who has handled land use, commercial litigation, employment litigation and civil rights litigation at the state and federal levels. Additionally, he advises private corporate clients of all sizes on a wide range of issues, including real estate and corporate transactions, employment disputes, government regulations, land use matters, and pay-to-play/political contribution compliance.

Mr. Visconi has considerable experience concerning the storage, preservation and production of electronically stored information. He has instructed and taught legal education seminars focusing on e-discovery practices, updates to the federal rules of civil procedure, and emerging issues regarding storage and production of public records in the digital age.

Mr. Visconi earned his J.D. from the Rutgers University School of Law, and his B.A from the University of Delaware.
