Susan counsels businesses and individuals in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She represents parties in cases under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as in Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors in state court. She has extensive experience protecting creditors’ rights and representing business and individual debtors in complex restructuring and liquidation matters.
Susan began her legal career as an intern with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where she later became the Litigation Management Unit Supervisor, overseeing more than 1,000 active litigation matters. She then served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where she appeared before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court on behalf of the State.
Susan is committed to both her profession and her community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC-NJ), a professional organization that promotes the development and support of women in the insolvency and restructuring sector. She was awarded the Equal Justice Medal by Legal Services of New Jersey for her pro bono work in 2019 and 2025.
Susan is a native Arabic speaker and is currently studying Russian.
